Keychron has launched the Z11 Ultra 8K, a mechanical keyboard that blends a retro aesthetic with cutting-edge technology. The keyboard features a split-panel Alice-style layout at 65 percent size, designed to angle the keys for a more natural and comfortable typing experience.

Retro Design Meets Modern Build
The Z11 Ultra showcases a CNC-machined unibody aluminum chassis influenced by 1970s arcade machines. A unique metal plate on the keyboard’s lower-left corner resembles a cassette cartridge and doubles as storage for its 2.4GHz wireless receiver. Additionally, an X-shaped silicone pad on the bottom enhances desk grip while aiding sound dampening.

Advanced Typing Experience
Internally, the keyboard utilizes a gasket mount structure combined with six layers of sound-absorbing materials to reduce typing noise and vibrations. It also includes a single-key slotted PCB and a PP positioning plate, both contributing to a softer, more flexible typing feel. The keyboard is equipped with custom HUANUO mechanical switches and original CHERRY high-profile PBT keycaps featuring double-shot molding. Exceptional 8K Polling Rate for Low Latency
One standout feature is the Z11 Ultra’s 8,000Hz polling rate, supported in both wired USB-C and wireless 2.4GHz modes. Powered by the ZMK low-power firmware platform, this high polling rate significantly reduces input latency, a benefit particularly valuable for competitive gamers and fast typists.
Power and Connectivity
To accommodate the higher power consumption from wireless 8K polling, Keychron integrated a 4,000mAh battery into each half of the keyboard. This dual-battery setup helps maintain extended usage without frequent recharges.
Availability and Pricing
The Z11 Ultra 8K mechanical keyboard goes on sale in China at 8 PM local time, priced at 849 yuan (around $120). Global availability has not yet been announced.
