Beyond its high-speed display, the phone introduces a massive 8,400mAh battery coupled with fast 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, aiming to put an end to mid-day battery anxiety for heavy mobile gamers and power users alike.
A Co-Engineered 165Hz Display That Refuses to Drain the Battery
The core centerpiece of the iQOO 16 is its 6.85-inch display, which pushes mobile panel technology into new territory. By integrating Samsung Display's latest M16 organic light-emitting material alongside LEAD 2.0 technology, the panel eliminates the traditional polarizer layer. According to iQOO, removing this layer allows light to pass through more efficiently, cutting display power consumption by roughly 30 percent while maintaining full 2K clarity and a high 165Hz refresh rate.
Visual performance does not stop at raw speed. The screen reaches a global peak brightness of 2,800 nits and an extraordinary local peak brightness of 10,000 nits for dramatic HDR highlight delivery. For competitive gamers, the display provides a multi-touch sampling rate of up to 500Hz for immediate input feedback. Eye-comfort hardware features include full-range DC dimming, high-frequency 3,300Hz PWM dimming, and built-in gaming anti-glare protection to minimize visual fatigue during prolonged sessions.

Visually, the iQOO 16 adopts a sci-fi inspired design ethos labeled "Tomorrow's Porthole." The rear camera housing links three sensors through a mechanical structure reminiscent of a spacecraft porthole. The headline finish, dubbed Light Chaser, uses multi-layer laser holographic imaging to shift dynamic red and blue hues as light strikes the back panel from different angles. Traditional enthusiasts can also opt for the classic Legend and Racing Track finishes.
Unlike many performance-centric phones that skimp on secondary camera hardware, the iQOO 16 equips a full trio of high-resolution rear cameras.
