Intel Wildcat Lake Laptops Arrive With High-End Features
Lenovo has introduced its IdeaPad Slim 3i series equipped with Intel’s latest Wildcat Lake platform, marking the first sighting of these new processors in laptops. The lineup includes models with 14-, 15-, 16-, and 17-inch displays, offering choices that range up to a 165 Hz OLED screen and 32 GB of RAM.
Details on Display and Performance Options
The 15-inch variant, known as the 15IWC11, stands out with an optional 165 Hz OLED panel delivering 500 nits of brightness, catering to users who prioritize smooth visuals and vivid colors. Other models, like the 14IWC11 and 16IWC11, also offer OLED display options, though the 17IWC11 is limited to a 1080p IPS screen with a 60 Hz refresh rate and lower brightness.
Under the hood, Lenovo equips these laptops with Intel’s Panther Lake Core Series 3 processors, including Core i3, i5, and i7 configurations. Notably, the Core i5 and i7 variants feature six-core designs combining two performance cores with four efficiency cores, optimizing power and multitasking. The Core i3 model drops a performance core, reducing total cores to five and includes a less powerful integrated GPU. Related coverage: Lenovo Launches 15-Inch Convertible Laptop with 165 Hz OLED.
