Oppo is preparing to launch the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s in India on May 21, focusing heavily on advanced photography and video capabilities. The Find X9 Ultra stands out with its 10x optical zoom and a powerful Hasselblad camera system, while the Find X9s offers flagship imaging in a slimmer, more compact body.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra: Pioneering 10x Optical Zoom
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra debuts Oppo’s latest Hasselblad Master Camera System combined with the LUMO Image Engine, designed to enhance computational photography. It features an impressive triple camera setup with two 200-megapixel sensors—a primary and a 3x telephoto camera—and a dedicated 50-megapixel 10x optical telephoto lens for long-range shots.
What sets the Ultra apart is its industry-first Quintuple Prism Periscope Structure. This design reflects incoming light five times before it hits the sensor, enabling an approximate 230mm equivalent focal length without making the camera module bulky. Oppo emphasizes that this optical-first approach preserves natural detail better than software-zoom alternatives. Related coverage: Oppo Launches ColorOS 16.1 with Major Visual and AI Enhancements.
Video capabilities are equally advanced, supporting O-Log2 recording, ACES color workflows, custom 3D LUT integration, and recording at up to 8K 30fps or 4K 120fps across both primary and telephoto cameras.
Under the hood, the Find X9 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with Oppo’s Trinity Engine and a next-gen 3D Cryo-velocity Cooling System to maintain performance during extended camera use. It also houses a sizable 7050mAh silicon-carbon battery aimed at longer shooting sessions.
Find X9s: Flagship Imaging in a Slim Frame
The Find X9s complements the lineup with a triple 50-megapixel Hasselblad camera array housed within a slim 7.99mm body. It supports 4K 60fps Dolby Vision video recording on all cameras and includes dual-video capture along with AI-powered features through ColorOS 16.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset built on a 3nm process, the Find X9s also boasts an advanced vapor chamber cooling system covering 32,052.5mm² for efficient heat dissipation. The device is equipped with a 7025mAh silicon-carbon battery to support prolonged usage.
Essentially, the Find X9s offers many flagship imaging features in a more compact and accessible form factor compared to the Ultra.
India Launch and Availability
Oppo will reveal pricing and detailed availability for both the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s during the launch event in India on May 21. Both phones highlight Oppo’s commitment to elevating mobile photography with hardware and software innovations.
