Seiko has unveiled a pair of limited-edition timepieces celebrating the 2019 Kyoto Animation film, Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll. These watches serve as a follow-up to previous collaborations, offering fans a wearable tribute to the series' emotional narrative. Priced at approximately $417 (¥65,780), these watches are limited to just 1,000 pieces per variant, making them a collector-focused release.
Each watch features a 38.1 mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 8.1 mm, housing a reliable quartz movement. The design language focuses heavily on the film's aesthetic, with thematic elements integrated directly onto the dial. The seconds hand, for instance, is shaped like a letter, symbolizing the core bond between the characters Isabella and Taylor. Other subtle nods include a representation of Violet’s signature green brooch at the 6 o'clock index, a delicate white camellia at 4 o'clock, and silhouettes of birds in flight between 7 and 8 o'clock.
Design Variants and Build Quality
Collectors can choose between two distinct styles. The first version features a sophisticated leaf-green dial with a radial pattern, paired with a stainless steel bracelet, representing the lush greenery of the boarding school setting. The second version opts for a cleaner white dial paired with a leather strap, which features an embossed pattern inspired by the film's white camellias. Both models are protected by a curved Hardlex crystal and offer a water resistance rating of 10 bar, a significant improvement over the 3 bar rating seen in the 2022 memorial model.
Beyond the dial, the attention to detail extends to the caseback, which is engraved with the official film logo and an individual edition number. The overall build is robust and practical, with an accuracy rating of plus or minus 15 seconds per month, ensuring these pieces are just as functional as they are decorative.

Seiko has curated a premium unboxing experience to accompany these watches. Each unit arrives in a specialized white box inspired by the dress Violet wore at the debutante ball, accompanied by a warranty card designed to look like a sealed letter. Orders for these timepieces are currently being managed through Premico in Japan. With deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-March 2027, fans should note that this is a highly exclusive run.
