Weighing in at 560 grams (19.75 ounces), the floodlight is engineered around high-intensity illumination and flexible lighting modes. Scheduled to launch on September 21, the X80GT 3 arrives in two distinct hardware configurations tailored to specific field workflows, priced at $180 for the maximum-output edition and $170 for the multi-spectrum variant.
Massive Lumen Output and Thermal Management
The flagship high-power edition uses 24 6,000K white LEDs to cast a wide flood beam reaching up to 430 meters. Reaching its peak output of 30,000 lumens demands significant power and thermal dissipation, meaning the top Turbo burst is limited to 20 seconds at a time. However, Acebeam notes that the driver circuitry supports repeated Turbo reactivation when rapid maximum visibility is required.
For sustained tasks, intermediate output stages offer more practical battery endurance. The Med 1 profile maintains a steady 2,300 lumens for three hours before stepping down, while the brighter Med 2 tier delivers 7,200 lumens for roughly seven minutes. Crucially for visual clarity and video work, Acebeam incorporates non-PWM dimming across the 150 to 3,500-lumen operating range, eliminating high-frequency flicker.
Power Delivery, Multi-Spectrum LEDs, and Field Utility
The standard 30,000-lumen version relies on four integrated, non-replaceable 18650 battery cells paired with a 60W USB-C fast charging port for quick field top-ups. It also integrates an auxiliary high-CRI side light producing 80 lumens at 95+ CRI, capable of running continuously for up to 32 hours as an ambient work light or campsite beacon.
For outdoor technicians and specialized search teams, the Multi-Light-Source variant takes a different architectural approach. This $170 version drops peak output to 23,000 lumens by swapping six standard emitters for four red LEDs and two ultraviolet (UV) LEDs. Unlike the standard model, the multi-spectrum variant features user-replaceable 18650 batteries requiring an external charger, allowing users to swap fresh cells instantly in off-grid environments.
Mounting Options and Availability
Both models feature built-in tripod mounting points and full compatibility with an optional top-carrying handle, transforming the handheld cylinder into a stable stationary floodlight.
