Taking place from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, the exhibit marks Level-5's largest showcase to date. The centerpiece of the presentation is a confirmed launch date of December 10, 2026, for Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, arriving simultaneously on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC.
The upcoming showcase underscores a dramatic strategic shift for Level-5. Traditionally associated with Nintendo handheld exclusives, the developer is making an aggressive push toward simultaneous multi-platform global launches across PC, current-gen consoles, and next-generation hardware. Attendees at Makuhari Messe will experience a theme-park-style booth featuring interactive photo spots, playable stations, and exclusive collectible merchandise for participants.
Playable Hands-On Demos: Layton, Decapolice, and New RPG Horizons
Headlining Level-5's primary hands-on area is Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. Attendees who complete the playable demo—which includes full English localization options—will receive an exclusive themed mouse pad. Joining the iconic puzzle series at the main booth is Decapolice, the studio's ambitious sci-fi detective RPG, where demo participants will earn a commemorative pin badge set.
Level-5 is also debuting hands-on builds for two highly anticipated projects: ghost-craft RPG Holy Horror Mansion and action-RPG Snack World: Reloaded.
